Snowshoe Mountain Closes For The Season After 122 Days of Skiing & Riding - Almost 230" Of Natural Snow!
The resort will call an end to its 36" snow season at 4:30 pm, Monday, April 5

Snowshoe, WV - After 122 days of skiing and riding, including some of the most epic powder days ever experience in the Southeast, the time has come to bid farewell to the 2009-2010 snow season. The season got off to a later start, as Mother Nature decided to let fall stick around into early December, but once the season was under ay at times it seemed the snow would never stop! From snow-pocalypse to snow-magedon, big storm after big storm rolled through the WV mountains, ultimately dropping 229" of natural snow on Snowshoe. SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN IS EXTENDING THE SEASON
With epic snow conditions, the region's #1 resort plans to remain open through April 5th with great spring savings.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort announced today that it plans to remain open through April 5th to take advantage of the best snow conditions in the resort's 36-year history. This will give skiers and riders an extra week to enjoy the region's #1 resort.  Snowshoe also announced that the extended season will included big savings for skiers and riders getting in those last turns of what have been a truly incredible season. Snowshoe Mountain Wraps Up Summer With Country Superstars Jason Michael Carroll and James Otto
Marking the unofficial end of the summer season with a Labor Day Celebration unmatched in the region.

Country superstars Jason Michael Carroll and James Otto will rock the mountaintop from the Skidder Slope Stage during a weekend of family fun.  Otto will headline a Friday night concert, followed by Carroll's headlining gig on Saturday night.  The concerts will open with local and regional acts, and tickets start at just $25 for Friday night's show with two-day tickets available for just $40.  Local and regional country acts will also perform free concerts from Snowshoe's Village Stage throughout the weekend, as guests enjoy family activities, hiking, biking and adventure activities including dune buggy and Segway tours. Snowshoe Mountain Resort Welcomes New Restaurant to Mountaintop Village
Snowshoe Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the addition of the Taste of Asia restaurant to the resort's Village area.

Taste of Asia currently operates three West Virginia locations, serving Japanese and Thai cuisine including steakhouse classics, sushi favorites and distinctive house specialties.  The restaurant is a welcome addition to the more than 20 dining options currently operating at Snowshoe. Snowshoe Mountain Resort Hosts 10th Annual Taste of the Mountain Food, Wine, and Jazz Festival
August 7 - 9 will feature wonderful wine selections from around the world, edible delicacies and live jazz offerings.

The Taste of the Mountain Food, Wine, and Jazz Festival returns for a 10th delicious year at Snowshoe Mountain Resort, August 7-9, 2009.  The weekend kicks off with an elegant Dessert and Champagne Reception on Friday night, followed by Saturday's Grand Tasting Event, which will feature more than 100 wines from around the world. The public may purchase tickets in hopes of winning a variety of big-ticket prizes.

For just $100, you can have a chance to win a 2009 Chevrolet Corvette, 2008 Chevrolet Camaro, new Ford 150 Super Cab Pick-up, Suzuki King Quad Four-Wheeler, Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and $50,000 cash are among the spoils up for grabs. The Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain Resort Hosts 53rd Virginia-Carolinas Women's Golf Tournament
Play began this morning, July 20, in the 53rd Virginia-Carolina Women's Tournament 2009 being held at West Virginia's The Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

Throughout the tournament, which will run through Wednesday, July 22, West Virginia and Virginia will team up on a 24-women squad against their counterparts from North and South Carolina.  The women will compete in two styles of play, with captain's choice play on Monday and four-ball competition Tuesday and Wednesday.  The Virginias Team has won six of the last seven meetings between the squads.
